Each territory guards ancient stories, handed down from generation to generation, that tell of fears, mysteries, traditions and popular beliefs. The section Legends and Tales is dedicated to this intangible heritage made up of fascinating narratives, often born in mountain villages, along paths, on the shores of the lake or around the fire on winter evenings.
Here they find space folk legends, traditional tales, stories passed down orally and curiosities related to local folklore. They are stories about mysterious characters, forest spirits, ancient beliefs, hidden treasures and events that over time have fuelled the imagination of local communities.
Many of these narratives have distant origins and are intertwined with history, popular religiosity and the deep relationship between man and nature that characterises lake and mountain territories. Telling them means preserving a collective memory part of the cultural identity of communities.
The section Legends and Tales is therefore a journey through mystery, tradition and fantasy, to discover the stories that have accompanied the life of our valleys and villages for centuries. A way to rediscover the fascination of popular narratives and keep alive a precious part of the territory's culture.
